If you could see the future
If you could change the past
If you could accept the present

What would you choose?

It's been a busy summer without internet

Here is an example of a quiet moment.

I'm entering an exciting time full of transition.
I hope I can keep up with the excitement, and still find time to perfect my talent.
One thing I've learned is thinking about it isn't the same as doing it.

Grafitti

Another one done while stuck  home.

Thursday, November 19, 2009

Here are 4 versions of an image that started in facebook grafitti.
Than I took it to Paint.NET and first inked it, than turned it into a  painted image.

Here it is  touched up on  my favorite program Art Rage 2.5.

I really like grafitti for it's looseness. It's too easy to over work a painting.
With experience you learn when to quit.

Art Rage digital painting

This is a drawing I did on a great download called Art Rage. A version 3 is in the works. I never thought I would enjoy painting graphically but with this program you can almost smell the paint.

Drawing

Well I'm back, it's that time of year again. I've been stuck close to home with a sick child, it's given me time to practice my drawing skills.

I found this great app. from facebook called "graffiti" that lets you embed on your blog. I will do this as soon as I figure it out. Help!

The more I explore the possibilities of the cyber world the more it seems like magic.

Will you be my friend?

Have you noticed the best designs have a familiar quality? Is it the symmetry or placement of the elements?
Here are some examples of whimsical kitchenware design. It occurred to me these old designs which look like faces would attract the women using them.

Was this planned by the designers? Does the subliminal placement of facial features stimulate our attraction to the design? Remember the movie "The Brave Little Toaster".
I loved that movie.

Goodmorning

I'm not always prepared with camera in hand at 5 o'clock in the morning. But on this particular morning the crows rudely woke me up by cawing loudly and repeatedly. This went on long enough that I thought of closing the window. As this thought went through my groggy mind I heard the first and second warning blast, leaping out of bed I grabbed my camera.
The ship continued signaling while making it's otherwise serene way to port. The only good coming from this shocking awakening was the story to be told and this video.

As I tell the story I'm learning of others with there own tales to tell.
